With HRC taking the pure BS attack of calling Obama "elitist", Joltin' Joe Lieberman doing his Zell Miller imitation, & the right wing radio "Obama is a Marxist" garbage showing up in the New York Freakin' Times, I couldn't help but flash back to the last presidential election.
I remembered my abject horror when I saw someone from the DLC on the network news attacking Dean for his stance on the Iraq War. No backroom backbiting this, just a very public frontal assault. On a fellow Democrat. I was disgusted, disappointed and outraged.
And now here it is again. The same assholes--who were so right about the Iraq War--back to do more damage, in harmony though probably not in league with the GOP. They're back, trying to ride the hard work of the folks they worked so hard to defeat (and the utter failure of the GWB presidency) to the presidency.
I'm sick of these people. I'm sick of them shitting on their own party. I'm sick of their big-money politics.
We've got a candidate who, while not perfect, is both willing and able to engage the electorate in thoughtful consideration of our most important issues. And they're going to try everything they can to take him out. Because the last thing the GOP & DLC want is a truly engaged electorate--people who can find common ground outside the typical politics of division.
Okay. Done ranting now. Here's hoping Obama (& those of us who are tired of this crap) can beat them back.
