Looks like it's a mixed bag of news in Michigan again, but it runs from sad to bad, none of it good.
Another Dem gets caught up in a prostitution ring, and FL makes more traction on seating delegates than Michigan does, and a Michigan Rep gets dissed by Sensenbrenner.
See what I mean? Sad, bad, no glad. More after the jump.
The sad news:
Tom Athans, co-founder of Democracy Radio and spouse of Senator Debbie Stabenow, was caught recently in a bust of a prostitution ring according to several state news outlets this morning. Our sympathies to our hard-working Senator on what is surely some of the most challenging personal news.
The bad news:
All-around jackass Jim Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin once again shut down any serious inquiry during a committee meeting yesterday when he prevented Michigan's Rep. Bart Stupak from asking questions of oil industry executives during a hearing yesterday. I really have to wonder about our cheesehead neighbors to the west that they put up with Sensenbrenner's beligerent and anti-democratic (little d) behaviors.
And there's more in the pipeline today, new info coming shortly about the DNC seating Florida's delegation. Is it good, sad or bad news? You be the judge.
