Many Americans are set to receive $600 checks over the next couple of months as part of George W. Bush's economic stimulus package. Unfortunately, some say it is not enough, citing the increased fuel and grocery costs currently hitting the beleaguered American consumer.
Now new information is emerging regarding the second part of Bush's economic plan to address these concerns.
The new program is called The Good Luck, Americans, Stimulus Program.
Captain Joseph Kobes, 29, a US army transportation officer, just might have an added good luck charm when he competes on NBC's game show "Deal or No Deal" Monday, April 21.
President Bust has taped the video thanking Kobes for his service in Iraq and wishing him good luck on the program that offers the potential to win $1 million if he chooses the right briefcase.
Karl Rove gushed, "President Bush has been playing "Deal or No Deal" for many years with Republican Party donors, corporations, the Pentagon and numerous lobbyists. This seemed like a good time to include America's deserving lower classes and returning war veterans in the process as they attempt to succeed in today's economy." If Kobe wins the million, Bush says he may widen the economic stimulus program to include contestants on "Let's Make a Deal."
Political pundits suggested that if Bush planned to provide free publicity to television shows he should also be prepared to wish individual lottery ticket buyers good luck.
The Bush administration called for additional suggestions for ways to expand the Good Luck, Americans program.
