Talking Points Memo is reporting a new non-profit just launched seeking to seat the results from Florida and Michigan. I need those with good research skills and free time to help on this. I've never tried to research this sort of thing before. I'm not looking to tie the group to anyone. I just don't like shady groups that crop up trying to influence the political landscape. I like as much transparency as possible. If it turns out the group is what is says it is, I'll be tickled pink. What I've found out below.
The did some quick searches on the founders but didn't come up with much. I tried to do some quick searches for campaign contributions from the two founders but came up with nothing again.
I did find that the registrant of the domain name is a Mr. Herve Roussel. He lives in Washington DC and is listed as a software engineer on the site LinkedIn. The email address listed as the contact for the registrant is at a grouperoussel.com address. The webpage for the registrant is a simple welcome page. The phone number for the registrant is a Washington DC area code, 202-111-1111, probably not a working number. I'm thinking that this is just the site administrator but again, that's a guess.
Anyone with any experience at this sort of thing know what to do next? I have no clue how to run with this, I'm a PC tech, not an investigator. Again, let me stress, I don't want a particular result out of this, I just am genuinely curious as to how a group like this gets started and wanted to get the ball rolling. Please, I don't want to turn this into a flame war or witch hunt, I'd just like to get all the facts on this group as I can and my skills are woefully inadequate for the task.
Community project anyone?
