From TIME online:
Even if Clinton wins the state's primary on April 22, her chances of taking the big prize are slim—as Rendell, for all his bluster, must surely understand better than most. Either way, Ed Rendell will go on. "I like Barack," he says. "If he's the nominee, we'll bust a hump for him."
Governor Rendell: Of course you know that Hillary's campaign is over and this statement shows that you don't want to be on the wrong side of the next POTUS. Smart move. I believe that you will, passionately "bust a hump" for Obama.
But how about this Governor: How about you wait a week or so, hold a press conference and vociferously change your endorsement to Senator Obama?
YOU can be the king maker Governor. You will forever be THE ONE who turned the tide so that our nation could turn the page.
You could say something like "After spending the last few weeks with the Clinton campaign I have become increasingly discouraged by the negativity and calculated division being used. I have listened to Senator Obama and I have come to the conclusion that he, more than anyone, can bring this country together." (SFX: THUNDEROUS APPLAUSE)
Not only is it the politically smart move, but more importantly it is the morally right thing to do.
Politics ain't beanbag Governor and we've seen lately that the Clintons are only loyal to the Clintons. God bless them, its what got us 8 pretty darn good years. But that was then and this in now.
Stand up sir and do the right thing for our country (and for yourself!)
