"There is no such thing as a pledged delegate," Clinton said at a news conference in California, where she has been fundraising.
...
Pledged delegates are a "misnomer. The whole point is for delegates, however they are chosen, to really ask themselves who would be the best president and who would be our best nominee against Senator McCain," Clinton said. "And I think that process goes all the way to the convention."
I'm trying to put myself in the shoes of an HRC supporter. But no matter how strongly I believe that Hillary has the most "experience," etc., I cannot abide by the blatant lust for power that seems to have consumed the Clintons.
The notion that delegates seated based on free elections should change their vote based on the subjective (if not erroneous) notion that HRC is somehow more likely to defeat McCain is, to say the least, undemocratic. And let's be honest -- she doesn't give a rat's fat ass about the Democrats winning. She cares about HERSELF winning.
I guess, given what Clinton has pulled over the past few months, we shouldn't be surprised by this, but somehow I still marvel at folks who choose to ignore stuff like this. It just makes me want to scream.
Luckily I live in North Carolina and can use the next month to get active and really try and put Obama over the top.
