The Clinton campaign has on occasion claimed that a win of the nomination by way of superdelegates overturning the pledged delegates isn't necessarily undemocratic because most of the superdelegates are themselves elected. Governors, members of the House and the Senate are all indeed elected.
So, let us consider how Senator Clinton fairs with said delegates. From the politico superdelegate tracker:
Clinton Obama
Governors 11 14
Representatives 77 77
Senators 13 18
Oh my! Obama leads among "elected" superdelegates 109 to 101? You don't say! So where exactly does Senator Clinton get her lead in the superdelegate department? Here's where:
Clinton Obama
DNC 145 120
Wait, do I hear the sound of another door closing? I will end this diary with a quote from Senator Clinton while on Falafel Bill-O's show tonight:
Rich people... God bless us
Obama, you elitist bastard!
