Hey there:
Back in Feb...*before* Super Tuesday, I predicted that Montana would be in the thick of things and that even though it was one of the states that don't matter, we would be making a bigger splash than usual this primary season.
You all scoffed then.
Actually, no one scoffed. As I recall, 3 people commented on the diary.
Anyway, Obama is heading to Missoula tomorrow morning, Hillary on Sunday.
Hillary was originally going to do a fundraiser only but now has added a "town meeting' out on the tarmac as she heads out of Missoula.
Obama's rally was already big news this week.
So, at 6:00 AM tomorrow, I'm walking over to UM to help set up, and then attending the rally.
On Sunday, by contrast, I'm attending a high end foofoo fundraiser for Clinton at the Hilton. Had Obama done one, I'd have attended that too.
Two presidential contenders in one weekend. Two distinctly different vantage points. All in ole Missoula, Montana. During a week in which Bill also visited and in which both Hillary and Barack will be together on Saturday night
I will blog on Sunday and give you impressions and/or pictures if I have them. If you care to have me ask Senator Clinton a question, I should have the opportunity to do so.
What do you want to know? As they say: serious inquiries only please.
Anyway, Montana rocks. We are the center of the political universe. On Monday we can go back to roping cattle and using outdoor plumbing, as many of you seem to think we do.
The Starbucks was awfully crowded this morning!
