Now that we've delved pretty far into Obama's gaffe in San Francisco and his problems with Rev. Wright, we can ask how they stack up next to recent statements of Hillary. Let's just take two:
Bosnia under sniper fire and MoveOn.org. How do we get the media to give equal time to those matters?
* What does it tell us about Hillary that she thinks she can say she was tired or that she misspoke?
* What does it tell us about the way she relates to the American people, and even to herself, that she gave these explanations, rather than the truth?
* What does it tell us about her judgment that she repeated the same mis-explanation more than once? Doesn't she think we'll fact check?
* What does it mean that she said, "I misspoke once in 12 years" and "it just proves I'm human"? Again, we can fact-check her misspeaking. It's OK for her to be human, but that doesn't qualify her to be president.
* Why did it take her so long to address it, and then more time to admit that she misspoke, and then yet more time to admit that she was saying something she knew wasn't true?
* What does it tell us about the way she'll lead that she said that MoveOn.org activates the Democratic base who come out in large numbers and disagree with her? She wanted her donors to join her in suppressing votes? "Give me money so that we can unactivate the Democratic base, keep them home, and keep them from saying they disagree with me?"
I don't see how any of Obama's mistakes add up to a small fraction of Hillary's baggage, and I don't see anyone going through her baggage with the same detail and fervor that I see being given to Obama. And I think her baggage matters as much to the American people as his does.
Are the MSM in league with her? Or have the Clintons intimidated the MSM the way they intimidated (IMO) Richardson and apparently other super-delegates?
Hillary needs equal time under the media's and the public's microscope. Let's light a fire under the MSM to give her equal scrutiny.
