Well, Joe Lieberman is shooting his big mouth off again, criticizing Democrats and praising GOP Presidential candidate John McCain.
But should that really surprise us? I mean Joe promised the voters in 2006 that "No one wants to bring the troops home more than me", yet he is actively endorsing and supporting McCain, a candidate who says it is "Fine with me" if the troops stay in Iraq for a hundred mor years.
Joe likes to claim he is an "Indpendant Democrat" even though he ran on the "Conneticut for Liberman" Party (of one). But yet we haven't heard one praise of the Democratic principles he says he supports. We haven't heard Joe spout off about the crazed policies crammed through the GOP Congress for six years.
So "Dear Joe", the war is important. And it is your right to disagre with the majority of Americans who know the war should be "wound down".
But do you not have the integrity to criticize the GOP harshly for trying to stop the first minimum wage increase in 10 years?
Do you not feel it is important to have a President who will respect a woman's freedom of choice in the deeply personal crisis of an unwanted pregnancy? Is it not important to have a President that appoints judges that recognize that right for women? How about Supreme Court Justices that don't make up Bullsh!t reasons for denying the right to vote, and overturning the 2000 Presedential election?
Do you not think it's important to have judges that invalidate picture ID laws that are basically unconstitutional Poll taxes on the poor, who are frequently elderly and/or minorities?
Do you not believe in Justices that know about protecting freedom of religion, and freedom from religion? Aren't there an awful lot of wars because of religious differences?
Do you really support CONTINUED tax cuts for the rich, making it impossible to fund programs like SCHIP, public education, etc?
Do you really want a President who will continue policies of appointing people who ran industries to regulate those same industries? Did we learn nothing from the recent mine collapses?
Do you really want a President who will continue to strip away worker protections? One that will eventually eliminate the 8 hour work day, and the 40 hour work week?
Joe, in all seriousness, what do you agree with McCain with, besides the war? Is the war worth throwing all the other Democratic issues you claim to believe in down the drain? Won't his policies cause MORE death and destruction, to the American public, the citizens of Iraq, and the world in general?
