Today, Delaware's Attorney General Beau Biden, visited my school to discuss internet security. I have met the man once before and liked him very much. Being that he is Joe Biden's son I took the liberty of asking a few political questions...
Most importantly, I inquired as to whether his father, Sen. Biden, would accept a Vice-Presidential offer. His response was quite encouraging in fact. Mr. Biden looked me in the eye and with a smile on his face said:
It may have to take a bit of persuading, but an offer such as that would be hard to overlook.
Without a doubt, that solitified by believe that Joe Biden would accept any offer from Barack Obama to be his VP!
Furthermore, for any Delawarean Beau Biden refused to comment on our Gubernatorial Campaign, saying that both Democrats would be appealing governors.
Once his presentation began I was thrilled with his opening. For the first few minutes of a rather short speech Beau applauded my very effort on his father's presidential campaign. He thanked me for all my hard work and effort and said I "worked my tail off" for Sen. Biden. This was a truly touching moment for me; I've always looked up to the Biden family. He called me a role model for my fellow eighth graders to get involved in presidential politics and that honestly meant a lot!
This was an experience I won't soon forget!
