It took me a minute to post the below video about the state of the race but thought the theme holds true now more than ever. We all know that the race has ended. We are just waiting for the reality on the ground to catch up with the reality in our heads. Hard to argue with numbers and the math. I have spotted several Obamamaniacs walking around with that twinkle in their eye and wide-tooth grins. Listening to Obama's speech in Iowa tuesday night, it struck me that this is going to be a very long year and that we may have to shift our attitudes back to underdog-mode and realize that though conditions are favorable for a democratic president to be elected in the fall, we are still in for an uphill climb.
We should not underestimate the ability of the status quo when in survival mode. We Obama supporters (myself included) should not be acting like schmucks before the real game begins as this never bodes well in the long run.
These thoughts are better articulated by a Web fav of mine, Jay smooth of the website ill doctrine.com, which is a hip-hop video blog hosted by Jay Smooth, creator of the hip hop music blog and founder of New York's longest running hip-hop radio show, WBAI's Underground Railroad.
Enjoy!
