I was enwrapped as always during his special comments and this one was particularly intense. About the third of the way through I thought I heard a loud noise and Keith flinch in response. I lost the next sentence or two because it unnerved me so.
My mind drifted into thinking about KO's life. What if someone wanted to get to him in retaliation for whatever, when it would have the most impact, on air. I almost teared up! I shuddered at my own inward thoughts until his voice brought me back. I almost thought it was some sort of macabre stunt to make his point that he would explain and/or apologize for later.
But it immediately got me to thinking how strongly even mentioning "assassinated" in certain contexts are and how emotionally damaging it (hearing those words) can be to some persons, especially those who have experienced it or are potential targets.
Was it just me?
