Enough is enough. I'm all for the idea of political inclusion. I'd love to think that as a nation we can all come together and move forward to a better tomorrow. There comes a point in time however when we need to come out and say that not everyone should be invited to the party. There are some people that flat out don't deserve to be included.
More on the flip side
I'm sure most people by now have heard the political meltdown that was Hillary's latest comment referencing Robert Kennedy's assassination as "historical proof" that long primaries are nothing new.
Enough is enough. I don't think she should leave the race because she's a woman, or even because it's impossible for her to win. I think she should leave the race for the simple fact that she does not deserve to be at the table. I'm also going one step farther. If after this latest incident of "mis-speaking" you continue to support the Clinton campaign, then you don't deserve to be at the table either.
I want people to come together, I want the United States reality to come in-line with the United States ideology. I respect that there are alot of die-hard Clinton supporters out there who think she has what it takes. However, enough is enough. Imagine for a moment that George Bush or John McCain had made a statement referencing assassination for political gain. I'd like to think that the majority of Clinton supporters would be up in arms, and rightfully so.
So, this is the line in the sand. If you can't bring yourself to vote for someone because they don't have the right skin color, or they aren't the right gender, then the American that I know we can be doesn't want you. BTW, before you Clinton supporters start rolling out the "well what about the black/sexist voters that support Obama for the same reasons?", America doesn't need them either. I'm a 20something white male that grew up in the south. Not just any part of the south, the Appalachians were literally my back-yard. I'm also a registered Republican. Demographically speaking I'm prime McCain material. News-flash, I'm an Obama supporter through and through. I haven't based my decision on race or gender, I've based in on the fact that his policies are light-years better than McCain's. I've also based my decision on the last item in Pandora's box, HOPE. I have HOPE that maybe this time will be different. Maybe this time we the people, in order to form a more perfect union, will make the right decision.
This is why I'm saying enough is enough. Hillary Clinton does NOT represent we the people, she does NOT represent a more perfect union, and she does NOT represent the America that I KNOW we can be. Also I'll say it once more, if you can't see this now, if you continue to support Hillary Clinton, then YOU don't represent the America we could become either.
*******UPDATE*******
Part of what's wrong with this is that people automatically assume outrage is nothing more than political posturing. We've convinced ourselves that anger is either bad, or fake. Sometimes anger is very real. In fact, the American people aren't angry ENOUGH. If they were then Hillary would be old news and Old Man McCain would already be carted off to a looney-bin.
So, get angry. Like the song says "Get up, stand up". Denounce the kind of garbage the Clinton campaign has been peddling.
