I know most of you are sick of polls, but please bear with me. This diary is not supporting the idea of an Obama/Edwards ticket. It only discusses the possibility.
Take a minute to look at these polls.

What all these polls have in common is that Obama/Edwards is the strongest match up. Now, I know that the election is months away, but let's take a minute to ponder the possibility of an Obama/Edwards ticket.
- Many of us recall that Edwards always polled well against McCain back when he was running for President. Could there be a link between this and the polls just presented?
- Yes, the Kerry/Edwards ticket failed, but was that more Kerry's or Edwards' fault?
- Edwards has publicly denied offers of the VP position, but he has said privately that he would be open to the VP spot(http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/05/15/john-edwards-open-to-vice_n_101873.html)
Bottom line, while I have many reservations about putting Edwards on the ticket, Obama cannot rule out the possibility of doing so.
However, I believe the better job for Edwards would be that of Attorney General.
Obama has plenty of good VP options besides Edwards, and each and everyone should be measured with the same scrutiny.
So what are your thoughts?
