Forget delegates, votes, states won and even super delegates. Let's have some fun and look just at who has the most endorsements in celebrities. Anyone famous in sports, music, film, theatre, literature, science, and television is eligible. Except I'm only counting non-politician, famous people (because I make the rules dammit) - so no Arnold (Schwarzenegger), but Arnold the pig (Green Acres) could go on the list if he made known his preference (and if he were still alive).
As it seems now, Barack leads in the big name celebrities (the super celebrity) and the total count. But Hillary is in it to win it and McCain may just be sand bagging the whole cast from Murder She Wrote. Who knows how this will end? How exciting.
This also makes for such tantalizing celebrity matchups as:
Ralph Macchio (BO) v. Sylvester Stallone (HC)
Toni Morrison, Michael Chabon, and Stephen King (BO) v. Maya Angelou (HC)
Oprah (BO) v. Jerry Springer & Ellen Degeneres(HC)
How about Leonard Nimoy (BO) v. Mr. Sulu (HC)? Would William Shatner be a tiebreaker (undecided as far as I know).
So let's go! I've been scouring the internet tubes for these names. Add to my list with any that you know of that I don't have and I'll will update it, but only give me names that you know of for sure of being for a candidate and they must be reasonably famous. Other ground rules - no characters of literary fiction, no cartoon characters, no religious figures (God, Satan, etc.). Otherwise, there might be mayhem.
