Out of curiosity I went through the superdelegate lists to see how many females there were and who they were endorsing...
...I counted by eye from the list of superdelegate names and endorsements at 2008 Democratic Convention Watch. My counts are accurate, but not precise, in that some names are difficult to determine the gender of the owner (for example, Pat) and I just didn't want to take the time for perfection oriented websearches. With that in mind here are the totals...
Clinton ~120
Obama ~76
Undeclared ~62
I don't think there is much to make of the breakdown. It certainly isn't an 80-20 type advantage Obama enjoys amongst african american voters. I also note that taken together only ~258 out of 799 superdelegates are female (~32%). This was really just something to satisfy my curiosity.
