A group calling itself the Presidential Memorial Commission of San Franciso is leading a petition drive to rename the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant the George W. Bush Sewage Plant.

George W Bush Sewage Plant
There MUST be other communities with a similar interest in immortalizing our beloved leader - are you listening Madison WI, Burlington VT, Portland OR, etc.???
Here's the kicker - a grassroots effort in communities around our great nation to enact similar measures could have an obvious side effect. Young voters would be energized by the novelty / audacity of this effort. They could turn out in droves to vote for this, and once at their polling stations, also vote for president and other races. This could be the issue that puts our candidate over the top in a close race.
So MOBILIZE, PEOPLE!!! Every community can participate if it meets a few basic criteria:
(1) A wastewater treatment facility (they're not rare, you know!)
(2) A large population of young, disillusioned, cynical voters in need of mobilization (practically everywhere).
(3) A friendly ballot-initiative process where a successful petition drive can get an issue on the general election ballot.
(4) A few volunteers willing to lead the charge - I am sure the Presidential Memorial Commission wouldn't mind having a few more chapters!
For all too many years the righties have pounded the left with knee-jerk, black-and-white, wedge issues. We need a few of our own...
Let's get it done, people!
