Today, Indiana and North Carolina went to the polls to decide who they feel is best equipped to be the nominee in the 2008 Election. However, there was some hesitation, but it only means good news for Democrats.
As I write this, John McCain has:
77% in Indiana, with 66% reporting, and 75% in North Carolina, with 23% reporting.
I looked at all polls after March 4th, the day that McCain received a definitive majority of the delegates. He is the nominee.
79% of Mississippi and 73% of Pennsylvania.
Roughly a quarter of Republicans are voting, futilely, against McCain. This percentage has held now for over two months.
So, if you're concerned about the long primary process and what that might mean for the Democrats come November, just remember:
Huckabee and Romney are likely going to have over 50,000 votes in Indiana tonight.
Have a good night.
