You can't win this for Hillary, but you can help bring the party together to win in November.
Full disclosure--I was a major Hillary Clinton supporter. I feel her near loss in Indiana, and the major win for Obama in NC, end any realistic shot she has at the nomination. But, near dead is not fully dead...and that is where my plan comes in.
I'll make this short and sweet. The Democrats have a closing window of opportunity to undo a lot of the damage caused by the Michigan and Florida spat. Once Hillary conceeds the nomination, seating the delegates won't help. But while she is, technically, alive, seating them will help.
So my proposal, my plea, is this--for a group of undecided and Hillary superdelgates to agree to switch to Obama as soon as he calls for the seating of the Florida and Michigan delegations as elected in those states and Dean agreeing to this proposal. Once that happens, the block of supers will then endorse Obama. Hopefully this is enough to push him over the top, or at least enough to get him close.
Thus, any benefit--either in momentum or in actual delegate gains--Hillary gets from the seating of FL and MI is eliminated by the deal. However, we've still counted every vote in those states, eliminating an issue for the general election.
Anyways, this is my first diary. Please be gentle!
