I, like many people, have grown tired of this primary and want it to be done.
To that end, I decided to try and contact as many Supers as I can.
After the jump, is the email I sent to them.
This has been a long and arduous primary season for everyone and now the time has come for us to declare our candidate. As a concerned Democrat and American, I feel that it is incumbent upon me to apply to your sense of fairness and ask you to endorse Barack Obama.
The time is long past for Senator Clinton to demonstrate that she is the best candidate for our party. Early on in the process, I was torn over whom to support, as both candidates have the potential to be a great President. However, as it got closer to the Missouri primary, it began to be clear to me that I must chose Barack Obama.
I looked at both of them carefully and the decision ultimately came down to a single truth for me; that Barack Obama is the best choice. We need someone fresh, inspiring and willing to rise above conventional political wisdom to provide leadership to our country in a time when there is so much uncertainty.
Barack Obama is someone that has demonstrated the ability to deal with potentially explosive situations in a way that is rarely seen in our leadership today. He does not back down from conflict nor does he attempt to deflect when he has been attacked. He moves forward thoughtfully and with a sense of purpose.
Along with these talents, Barack Obama has shown a great deal of class in his dealings with everyone from voters to media to statespersons. These skills are greatly needed in our country. There are many fractures in the psyches of citizens of the United States. We need to have a leader whom we can look to and be proud of. Someone who represents the best of us to the world because he represents the best of what America is about.
I ask of you to forget partisan politics, forget past promises and grudging loyalties. Step up and endorse Obama today and end this process so we can move on the next phase. We need to defeat the Republicans and the candidate that can unite the party, Barack Obama, can only do that.
In a few previous diaries, there have been lists of undeclared Superdelegates, i.e., Sen. Biden, Donna Brazile. I was able to easily find their emails but it if anyone has emails for other known Superdelegates, please post them. Or if an existing diary has been published, I must have missed it, please point it out.
Thanks Kossacks!
