There's a new article over at newsweek.com from Elenor Clift, about how Obama and Hillary's paths will eventually have to cross during the fall. She doesn't endorse the "dream ticket" idea, but says that Obama will defenetley have to please the Clintons. But thats not the interesting part! (at least, not the MOST)
She talks about the resentment among a lot of Senators in Congress towards the Clintons for their triangulation in the 90's and such, about how they tought about their brand first and the Democratic Party second. So, she mentions that Obama has more Senator endorsements than Clinton, and goes on to say:
Fourteen sitting Democratic senators have endorsed Obama, one more than gave the nod to Clinton. Two more are reportedly poised to endorse Obama: Russ Feingold of Wisconsin and Barbara Boxer of California, which means some 20 senators are keeping their options open, not wanting to antagonize Clinton, the likely loser, who could soon be back in their midst and with more power than before.
Now, i think a lot of people and media outlets already counted Feingold as an Obama super since he said he voted for Barack in the Wisconsin primary. Altough he never made a formal endorsement. And there have been rumors that Barbara Boxer has not endorsed Obama because of Clinton winning the primary there. But after Indiana and North Carolina, and even a new SUSA poll out of California showing that IF the primaries were held today, Obama would win California, i would bet that by next week or the next few days, we should see her endorsing Obama.
