It isn't hard to imagine, it is easy if you try...
This is what might happen if Clinton die-hards vote for McCain because they are, dare I say it, bitter...
February 1, 2011, President McCain's State of the Union highlights:
"In a few months, I expect to be able to reduce the troop levels in Iraq back to the pre-2010 surge levels of 155,000. We are, after all, making great strides and the enemy is on the run." Although President McCain said the loss of 10,000 troops was "high", it is necessary for freedom to prosper and for Americans to be safe. He praised Secretary of Defense Joe Lieberman's work despite criticism that Lieberman's running of the Defense department made Pentagon workers long for the days of Donald Rumsfeld.
On the domestic front, McCain said the cuts to government spending that resulted in the loss of 15,000 federal jobs last year would soon be turning the economy around. Despite being in a 3 year long Depression, he pointed to corporate profits as a sign the economy wasn't as weak as some indicators may show.
President McCain praised the work of the Supreme Court's two newest members, Ted Olsen http://en.wikipedia.org/... and Priscilla Owen, http://en.wikipedia.org/... for their first year's work on the Court after replacing Justice Stevens and Justice Ginsberg.
McCain ended by saying that better days are ahead.
This is just the tip of the iceberg and if you vote for McCain because Clinton didn't win then I don't want to hear you complain. (You may not be allowed to depending on what the Supreme Court does). Three years from now is not the time to complain about McCain's policies and positions, the first Tuesday this November is.
So if you don't care about the economy, or your house's value, or your child's education, or America's stature in the world, or choice, or freedom of and/or from religion, or your right to sue, or the environment, or health care, then go ahead and vote for McCain to show Clinton your support. Definitely don't vote for the black guy who agrees with your purported values on most issues.
Personally, I have a pretty good job and make decent money, so I can probably take it. Can you?
