I was working on a diary which I will post next week which will explain why Obama can win on both Change and Experience. Real life experience. While doing some research for the piece, I was forced to read John McCain's Wiki for comparisons and I was shocked by some of the statements on the page. None of which are disputed. Let's jump.
Here's the first thing that caught my attention:
As a child, John McCain was a quiet, dependable, and courteous member of his family.[1] He also had a quick temper and an aggressive drive to compete and prevail.[6][7]
How does a quick temper help anyone compete and prevail? This sounds like a description of a child that was a spoiled brat.
Let's continue:
Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, McCain entered the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis. There, he was a friend and leader for many of his classmates, and stood up for people who were being bullied. He also became a lightweight boxer.[4][10]
Stood up for people who were being bullied? That's just funny!
McCain had conflicts with higher-ups, and he was disinclined to obey every rule, which contributed to a low class rank (894/899) that he did not aim to improve.[11][12][13][14]
He finished 5th from the bottom in his class. WOW!!! Some contrast to Obama who was the President of the Harvard Law Review. And why did he not aim to improve? I thought he had an aggressive drive to compete and prevail.
McCain did well in academic subjects that interested him, such as literature and history, but studied only enough to pass subjects he didn't like, such as math.[4] McCain graduated in 1958.[12]
John McCain doesn't like Math. I wonder if he'll be able to count past 270 electoral votes for Barack Obama on November 4th.
McCain retired from the Navy on April 1, 1981,[64] as a captain.[65] He was designated as disabled and awarded a disability pension, which in 2007 paid him $58,358.[66] Upon leaving the military, he moved to Arizona.
Why is John McCain getting paid disability from the military when his wife is a millionaire? On top of that, didn't he just oppose benefits for Vets returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.
In 1983, McCain was elected to lead the incoming group of Republican representatives.[58] Also that year, he opposed creation of a federal Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, but admitted in 2008: "I was wrong and eventually realized that, in time to give full support [in 1990] for a state holiday in Arizona."[72][73]
That just speaks for itself.
One thing I didn't see on the Wiki was John McCain's strong position on babies, and how they desperately need hot bottled water. I'm sure that will be added soon.
Now back to my originally scheduled research.
