Just now on the Dam Abrams show, a tape (in fact several tapes) of John McCain were revealed where John McCain said I didn't really love America until I was deprived of her company.
One of the instance where McCain said this was actually on Hannity's show.
Abrams made the case immediately that this tape would put a dent into Republican efforts to paint Michelle Obama's now infamous statement, as an unpatriotic one.
Folks we now have ammunition to FIGHT back!!!
Video after the jump...
Dan Abrams went after his two Republican guests - Brad Blakeman and Lars Larson....I couldn't stand his guts - and asked them point blank "Had Michelle Obama made this statement would you guys not be calling her unpatriotic? You guys would be jumping all over her wouldn't you?"
The Repubs where clearly surprised by the tape and Brad Blakeman's inital retort started with "Well, lets put this into context......"
Abrams jumped him "Ha!! NOW you want to put this into context, but you've avoided putting Michelle Obama's statement (about her pride in America for the first time) into context the whole time....isn't that hypocrisy?"
Lars Larson however was unrelenting saying you can't compare the two statements!! (seething at this point), When Trent Lott made his statement back when, all of you guys jumped all over him and he eventually had to retire blah blah blah...
He went on and on, and this was where it got interesting..
Jonathan Alter jumped in and basically called the Lars statement "borderline racist". Alter went OFF on a tirade (I'm paraphrasing here)- "Do you know Michelle Obama?" "Have you ever spoken to her?" " Do you think it is fair to characterize her in this way by splicing quotes out of context?", "Sir your statements are borderline racist", "We all know what you're doing here, you're trying to paint her as an Angry Black Woman"........
All in all it was quite an amazing segment to watch.
Can't wait until this new tape of McCain goes Viral...
