As I sit around on summer break, all my brother and I can do is speculate as to who Obama will choose for what, when he will announce, and how badly he will destroy McSame come November. After hours of the talk about the Bidens and the Hagels and the Clarks, we resort to Dailykos for more opinions.
Some opinions we disagree with, some we don't. But one that we love and will never tire of is the speculation. It feels like a video game in which you build you fantasy team of politicians and match them up against others. On here we all have he same players, because we're all progressive liberals pretty much. But still, how cool would it be to have a video game in which you build your dream Cabinet?
Here's how it goes, as I'm sure you know, but first you start praising your personal choice, in my case Joe Biden. You argue your point to let's say your brother, he listens, but respectfully disagrees and argues for Wesley Clark. After a few hours and tons of names you finally narrow down your top choices and assemble you dream team of politicians. we've all been through the drill. The frustrating part of it all is that we just have to WAIT. As Tom Petty and I'm sure thousands of other say, "The waiting is the hardest part." What I'm surprised hasn't been done before, i ask for a video game, in which we can simulate our own administration while we wait for the real poliicians to build their teams and play their season. That would be killer, and purely American.
Another option is a fantasy league, just like football! only we could all have the same players, just at different positions. i could have Biden as my VP and you could have him as your Sec. of State. i'll take Wes Clark for sec of defense you can have him as VP and so forth. idj how points would matter, or how score could possibly be tracked, it'd probably be easier with senators but who knows, this all feels like a game.
I only wish it were though. The scary thing is that if these fantasy teams don't succced, or they don't ever ave a chance to come to fruition, we more tha likely will be as screwed as Tessio at the end of Godfather part 1. scary stuff. Doesn't mean it can't be fun though does it
By the way, this is my first diary.
