They have done it again:
The US military has awarded an $80 million contract to a prominent Saudi financier who has been indicted by the US Justice Department.
Need more facts to get sick? How about, this guy, Gaith Pharaon, was an investor in Bush's first company.
Need more? He is wanted in several countries, and has ties to terrorist organizations, including Al Qaeda.
More below the fold:
Regarding ties to terrorist networks:
The Saudi businessman was also named in a 2002 French parliamentary report as having links to informal money transfer networks called hawala, known to be used by traders and terrorists, including Al Qaeda.
The contract is to supply jet fuel to American bases in Afghanistan. Let's get this straight...the DOD has awarded this contract to a man under indictment by the U.S. Justice Department! Now you don't suppose W had anything to do with this...like, maybe, supplying a letter of reference, perhaps?
Please tell me....just what does it take to criminally indict and/or impeach this Administration? Now, they are supporting a man involved with a terrorist network. Then, the Sibel Edmonds revelations regarding the quashing of an investigation into Dennis Hastert's involvement with a Turkish organization doing drug running and bribing congressmen right and left.
Please - let us not "take off the table" the proper punishment for these crimes.
