Sorry for the short diary, but Ben Smith is reporting that Obama is keeping Howard Dean on as Chairman of the DNC.
What a great move by Obama, as his candidacy appears to be the natural extension of both Dean's 2004 netroots campaign, and his 50-state strategy.
I know that it is typical for the party's standard bearer to place one of their lackey's (cough, Terry McAuliffe, cough) at the head of the party apparatus, so it is refreshing to see that our candidate has the confidence to keep someone with Dean's independence at the helm.
I am pretty excited for this campaign and (fingers crossed) this administration.
