From a posting which may or may not be published in the Forums section of the Wall Street Journal regarding:
At this point, who best represents your interests:
McCain or Obama?
Obama.
Excellent manager of his campaign. No deficits there. I think that Obama will have an excellent field of economists from which to pull an economic team -- which will reflect my interests, which are:
Lower unemployment
Restoration of the value of the dollar
Alternative energy sources to drive down the price of petroleum
As far as I know, Obama has shown no bias against the following which are absolutely intrinsic to a nation’s economic and technological and cultural well-being:
Science
Research and development
More efficient and responsible management of government spending
An end to the totalitarian concept of the "unitary executive"
Responsibly moving out of Itaq -- which is an extremely expensive and useless venture serving only to enrich a few while doing absolutely nothing to combat terrorism, absolutely nothing to keep our nation secure, which poorly planned and executed venture has proved to be absolutely devastating to our nation's military and preparedness
Restoration of our nation's severely damaged infrastructure
Restoration of our nation's constitution and our nation's constitutional values, restoration of our nation's traditional judicial values
Restoration of our nation's traditional values which do not revere torture, senseless invasions and occupations, pursuing courses which are not in our nation's interests
Restoration of all that is truly American, for which I have never ceased mourning since that tragic day on January 20, 2001, when our nation was set forth on a meaningless, reckless path destructuve of all that Americans hold dear.
