I'm an Oregonian who lives in Japan. I'm flying to NN tomorrow and will arrive in Austin Wednesday night.
One of the reasons I'm looking forward to going to NN is that I'm interested in hooking up with fellow Oregonians and plotting the victory of Democratic US Senate candidate Jeff Merkley & the absolute destruction of our anonymous, crap, 'maverick' Senator, Gordon Smith (R-bush 'Yes Man').
I think NN will be very productive if people get in touch with others from their own states and plan to help candidates in their states over the next few months. In that spirit, it would be great if there was a way for people to get in touch with people from their state. Unfortunately, I've seen scant information about how to hook up with such people while in Austin.
I read somewhere a couple of weeks ago that there will be some sort of giant bulletin board where people can post their contact details to arrange meetings with others from their state.
Does anyone know where that bulletin board will be?
I've been unsuccessful so far at getting Oregon bloggers to arrange something (anything!) beforehand and the Merkley campaign, which plans to attend (I have volunteered to hand out flyers) likewise has yet to broadcast their plans. Personally, I think it would be a great idea for proactive attendees to try to plan to meet at NN before they ever even set foot in Austin.
Anyway, if anyone knows where this bulletin board will be, please tell us in the comments.
Likewise, if anyone wants to meet others from their states, feel free to connect with each other in the comments (though something similar should probably be posted by one of the front pagers so as to get more exposure/traction).
