I cannot seem to understand why Hillary cannot tell her supporters to cool down and let Obama decide freely who he wants as his VP.
I am getting dismayed by the lack of leadership being shown by Hillary Clinton. It seems to be that she is allowing her prominent supporters to pressure Obama into choosing her as a VP. And if he does not, then they will not unite under the DNC umbrella and help raise money for Obama.

The names of some Hillraiser holdouts will not come as a surprise to those who follow the Democratic money chase. Susie Tompkins Buell, Lynn Forester and Jill Iscol were each cited in background interviews as the key financial workhorses who have yet to start pulling for Obama. In separate conversations with The Huffington Post, the three major donors each described their respective sources of discontent, and talked about what, if anything, can still be done to change their minds.
One area agreement among them, however, rang out loud and clear: the vice presidency should go to Clinton. (Indeed, Iscol already made news earlier this week when she related details of a phone conversation with Obama, in which he appeared to include Clinton on his VP shortlist, to the LA Times.)
For her part, Iscol poured water on the notion that women could be similarly moved by the presence of another female candidate on the ticket, such as Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius. "Women aren't fungible," she said. "You don't just exchange one for the other."
Amazing. Like Markos once said, the glass ceiling for female Presidents will have been broken only as long as Hillary gets to break it first. No other woman should be allowed to break it.
Why do people like Buell and non elitist Lady Lyn Forester de Rothschild feel they can speak so freely about their support for Obama when Hillary has asked ALL her supporters to throw their weight behind him?
Why isnt Hillary showing any leadership here? HRC needs to disassociate herself from her power hungry access pursuing billionaires who think they can buy their way to power.
UPDATE: Hillary hack Taylor Marsh, after some deep thought and soul searching analysis, agrees with Buell.
Opening up that fissure on the convention floor with a roll call vote is not the answer and people trumpeting that prospect are not serving Hillary or the Democratic Party. They are also making the situation worse among disaffected Hillary supporters on the grass roots level who are being given false hopes, while cable talk shows and media outlets exploit them and pump up these stories to help their own viewership, readership, or to help John McCain. Something the most earnest behind the convention floor fight push don't want to do, even if they are affirmed in not voting for Senator Obama.
The truth is that the only thing that will really make many Hillary supporters happy, plus unify the party the most, is having Hillary on the ticket, though no one is holding their breath on that one.
