Ok...so it's not End Times but I did look outside and sho 'nuff: it's a Full Moon.
From Raw Story
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday called President George W. Bush "a total failure" who "has no ideas," in an interview with CNN.
Is she just now noticing this?
According to the Raw Report, Nancy seemed genuinely pissed:
"We have seven and a half years of failed energy policy by the Bush administration. We have a faltering, downturning economy. The president needs a decoy.
"So he's going out there, he even has the nerve to say the economy would be better off if we could drill in protected areas offshore," she said, adding the Democrats' proposal to free up the US strategic petroleum reserve, which she said is 91.5 percent full.
She could have added some derision for lying us into the Debacle in the Desert and all the innocent people killed and maimed by that; all the torture and spying and the non-stop assault on the Constitution, but she's been enabling that so she has launched her little tirade on peripheral fluff.
Still, I brought this up as "credit where credit is due". Sure, she is destroyed her overall credibility enabling the war crimes of the Worst President in the History of Time, but she shows she IS ABLE to excoriate the man.
Which makes her enabling of his crimewave all that much more angering. It serves to underscore that SHE COULD be behind Impeachment of this rat bastard of a president, but she is working to protect him from natural, logical, and meaningful consequences.
So yeah: Credit where credit is due, but Nan, you're still a day late and a dollar short.
Conyers has been forced, I guess, to schedule Hearings on Bush's Imperial Presidency most likely due to Dennis Kucinich's dedication to NOT enabling Mr. Horrible.
Hearing is set for July 25. Conyers won't use the "I" word but:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Impeachment is out for President George W. Bush, but a top U.S. lawmaker said on Thursday he wants to take a look at his "imperial presidency."
House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers announced his panel would examine possible administration wrongdoing, which has included complaints that Bush misled the United States into the Iraq war in 2003.
It's amazing how they water down reality in the "news media". "Complaints" that we "may have been lied into war"?
The Sun MAY rise in the east each morning: let's have a hearing on that.
Hopefully all this "impeachment is out" talk is more lying by politicians who have something up their sleeve.
What will happen when they meet and "hear" what we already know forwards and backwards?
Will the real crimes even be acknowledged - by Responsible Serious Adults whose opinions actually matter?
Is Conyers just running out the clock because that's what Nancy wants? Are we being subjected to Good Cop/Bad Cop?
Is Nancy just bitching in a feeble effort to distance herself from the charges of aiding and abetting the Bush administration?
I don't know but my calender is marked for the 25th.
Thank you Dennis Kucinich.
