Eight days ago, I saw the video of the second meeting Veterans for Peace held with Congressman John Conyers and ran completely out of patience.
The wrongdoing of this administration is clear. We have been presented with lie after lie and excuse after excuse by this complicit Congress for a lack of movement on the impeachment issue. The Bush administration has been cited with NINE subpoenas by Congress that they have completely ignored.
Yesterday the excuse was that "they aren't getting enough calls". Are we not supposed to know due to the media blackout on the subject that Veterans for Peace presented 23,000 signature petition for impeachment on June 11th? Are we supposed to be unable to see the 1011478 signatures here or the 249184 signatures here?
Our economy is in the toilet. 4118 of our own troops and over a million innocent Iraqis are dead for a lie.
And now we are expected to quietly and meekly open up our already empty pockets and pay for another insane, unnecessary war of aggression against Iran. Our war-weary, spread far too thin troops are expected to die or come home brutally maimed for more lies and to further the greed of the rich Bush administration cronies, while the rest of America is given the mushroom treatment on their status and progress by an equally complicit mainstream media.
This administration is a raging bull elephant that we can no longer allow to run our nation's china shop. Not one more day. Not one more dollar. Not one more life.
If Karl Rove is not arrested today by the Sergeant at Arms - TODAY - then tomorrow evening at 10pm I will walk into a hacker convention called Last Hope which is being held in the Hotel Pennsylvania, just outside of Penn Station in Manhattan. I will walk into the room where infamous, feared hacker Kevin Mitnick is giving his keynote address, and I will reveal classified information that I am in possession of which concerns every Cisco router and switch that has been manufactured for the last 20 years.
Because if Rove and Cheney can get away with revealing classified information, so can I. As a matter of fact... SO CAN ANYONE. I don't have a monopoly on knowledge that can show the American public just how badly their trust has been abused.
We don't have two sets of laws in this country, one for the Bush administration and one for the rest of the citizenry. Either revealing classified information such as the identity of a covert CIA agent is legal, or it isn't.
No privacy FROM this government equals no privacy FOR this government.
If Congress will uphold their oaths and bring these lawbreakers to justice, I'll be quite happy to uphold mine.
