I was watching the news this evening and heard that John McCain is coming to Buffalo, NY for a fundraiser. Actually two of them. One at a private residence, the second at the Albright Knox Museum. It appears that some think McCain could give a crap about this area. I don't know why they would think that, but I think they are wrong.
I found a tidbit about McCain's visit. But it's the comments that are hilarious. It seems there are plenty who will greet him with protest signs.
This is from The Buffalo News, but it says he is coming August 11th, while the news had said he was coming sooner than that.
Sen. John McCain will bring his Republican presidential campaign to Buffalo on Aug. 11 for a major fundraising event, according to several sources familiar with the planning.
Now if you go herecomments, they talk about his visit too, but the best part is the comments. Let's just say not many of the comments are positive for McCain. I hope he doesn't think he stands a chance in New York. Probably just gettin his money and running.
Here is one I like, as Buffalo has been hurting for a long time.
Townsperson, Buffalo: Go somewhere else for dinner, We're all dried up here.

I plan on protesting where ever he plans on visiting and I encourage others to also. Let John McCain know that Buffalo doesn't want another corrupt war pig in office!
There are lots more on the site. Maybe McCain should have visited Rochester. They like the Republicans more than Buffalonians do.
