I don't have a major dog in the VP fight. If I could wave a magic wand it would be without a doubt John Edwards.
Recently, I've been more and more convinced that Evan Bayh was the leading contender for Vice-President.
Today, I've had second thoughts about what might come to be, so follow me over the fold for some speculation . . .
Like many of us, I've been trying to follow Senator Obama's trip and catch as much video or photos as possible.
What I've noticed is undeniable.
Senator Obama and Senator Hagel seem to set aside each other like salt and pepper. What I'm saying is that the two men seem to genuinely like each other and enjoy being together.
Here's the scenario.
I wouldn't have believed this two months ago, lol.
Senator Hagel is not running for re-election.
I think most of us will agree that he is and has been extremely sincere about the needless war and veterans issues. I'll admit he's the real deal.
Senator Hagel agrees to serve one term as VP, he essentially runs the "out of Iraq" and "finish Afghanistan" tasks and walks away with the gratitude of all Americans.
Let me say that I disagree strongly on 90% of Hagel's positions on domestic issues. But he's true blue on ending this nightmare and doing what's best for our military.
Not predicting this but opening my eyes to the fact that Hagel as VP is within the realm of possibility.
Your thoughts ?
