I have read plenty of criticisms of bloggers. I know, then, that I am about to write exactly the sort of thing that makes the stuffed suits puff up with self-important disdain. A lifetime of journalism could not have prepared me for the propaganda and revelations of evil I have witnessed this year, however, so critique away. I will just write the way I want to write, same as it ever was (water flowing underground).
Why should I support John McCain?
Is it because of his compassion for homosexuals and children?
Is it because he has all of his facts together when he speaks?
Is it because he is young enough to understand how to use a computer?
Is it because he never changes his positions on issues?
Is it because he has a host of surrogates who speak honestly and fairly on his behalf?
Is it because, like the working class in our nation, he has money troubles?
Is it because of his great skin?
More after the flip
Should I support McCain because he treats Obama with respect?
Should I give my vote to him because he knows what's best for Iraqis?
Oh, I know, is it because he was right about the surge and the Anbar Awakening?
I know he was tortured. So I have to vote for him? What about my right not to be tortured? Wasn't he against that before this election?
Should I support John McCain because his followers question my manhood?
Should I support him because he's the sort of man they simply adore?
Should I support him because he has a trophy wife?
Or should I support him because he's Cindy's trophy?
Sexuality can be so confusing, like things in John's world.
Should I throw my support behind him because he's white?
Should I support him because I'm not, and I need the white man to guide me?
Should I support him because he has never flip-flopped on his immigration stance?
Should I support him because he hasn't wavered in his support for Affirmative Action?
I can't cope with discussing John McCain anymore. I hope the millions of people out there who are buying into this crap will wake up and see it for what it really is. He's not cute. He's not funny (but his campaign is a joke). He has become a slave to his own lust for the power of the presidency. He will say anything, anything at all, to get the power he so craves.
Support John McCain?
Not me, podnuh.
Not in this lifetime.
I don't see how I could lie and be reverent about this.
I have been lied to so many times I have to tell the truth about it.
This isn't flame, this is just the ugly truth.
Happy Trails!
