The Munitions industry and their NEO-CON puppets in Washington need a "target-rich" enemy to justify the Trillions being spent on the fake war on terror. China can't be targeted because all they would have do is switch from the US Dollar to the Euro and call in the multi trillion dollar debt that our government owes them. The American economy would collapse into a depression overnight if China took this action so obviously they are disqualified from the empires convenient enemy search list. That leaves Russia as the only nation powerful enough to be made enemy for unending massive defense spending spree. Thats why Bush will put the Country back in a cold war setting before he leaves office.
We've got to see that our flag is not prostituted used by bootleggers of munitions and arms runners to cover up their dealings.

Energy rich Russia will remain a significant player in international affairs whether our current warmongering right wing ruler likes it or not. Would it not be a far more sounder policy to buy our oil from Russia instead of the dangerously unstable Middle East ? Then again Greed isn't grounded in sound policy in fact greed along with empire building is our national policy. Russia still has over 3,000 nuclear warheads, making it one of the two largest nuclear powers on earth. Russia has also vigorously opposed Bush's efforts to establish a missile defense system on their doorstep. Putin caught the NEO CON Maggots off guard when he offered the Missile Base in Azerbaijan I knew they wouldn't take it Putin wanted peace but not our belligerent GOP led government.
Putin’s proposal — based on using a Soviet-era radar installation in Azerbaijan — would force a major rethinking of U.S. Plans for defending Europe against attack from possible foes such as Iran or North Korea. The Russian president said he would abandon his threat to retarget Missiles on Europe — if Bush accepted the Kremlin’s missile defense Proposal.
Tensions were raised in recent days by Bush’s accusations that Putin was backsliding on democracy, and by Putin’s charges that Bush was starting a new arms race with missile defenses.
U.S. officials scrambled to react to Putin’s proposal, huddling hurriedly before trying to explain it to the press.
The hypocrite Bush don't need to be preaching the values of democracy to anybody since he obviously despises it as much as he hates peace.
An Azerbaijan-focused system would be far superior to a Poland-focused system. It is far easier to shoot down a ballistic missile in its boost phase; any interceptor based in Poland would have to strike an Iranian missile once it had already ditched its lower stages.
Speeding matters along could be possible cooperation with the Americans on a pre-existing Soviet-era radar already in Azerbaijan that is still Russian-operated.
So, from a purely technical and military stance, Putin's proposal is both logical and constructive. And if the United States truly wants an effective anti-Iranian system in place, there is no better place in the world than southern Azerbaijan.
NEO CON Military Dictatorships need constant warfare for their paymasters so they realize that eventually the American people will wake up to the fact that a few hundred Religious Fanatics riding around in the back of used Toyota pickups in the mountains of Central Asia aren't much of a national security threat. A new cold war with Russia in their GOP eyes is critical because it provides cover for their fraudulent ways.
Some right wing war seekers claim the "Terrorists" will follow our military once it returns to the USA. That won't happen. The follow the US troops back home is a pure bullshit story. It's a NEO CON fantasy as well as very low level propaganda.
The Soviet (USSR) Military stayed 10 years in Afghanistan and killed an estimated 3 million Afghans yet when they finally withdrew not a single Afghan "Freedom Fighting Terrorists" followed them back to Moscow to enact vengeance upon the civilian population of the old USSR. The USA should get out of Afghanistan as well but we all know that won't occur with the GOP in power.

Hopefully, the next president, whoever he is, will have sense enough to realize that an anti-missile site in Eastern Europe is not worth rekindling the Cold War with Russia.
Though the press pays little attention to it, the Bush administration has already practically wrecked relations with Russia by insisting on adding the Eastern European countries to NATO and siting his anti-missile system in the Czech Republic and in Poland. The Russians are right that it represents a threat to their security.
President Bush's lame excuse that the system is designed to protect Europe from Iranian missiles is no doubt another deliberate lie. I can't think of any reason whatsoever for Iran to attack Europe, and I'm sure the Iranians can't, either. Iran hasn't attacked anybody for more than 100 years. They would have absolutely nothing to gain by firing a few missiles at Europe. It doesn't make any sense at all.
McCain is even worse than Bush in regards to his attiturde towards Russia he even talks about kicking Russia out of the G-8. McCain claims the Russian government curtailed civil liberties well perhaps the US should be tossed out of the G-8 as well since his GOP party did the same to us.
That leads us to Obama and his Russian Policy. Future President Barack Obama is not antagonistic towards Russia and will bring a new program of prosperity to the world through strength and fairness. Obama wants peace and will deal firmly but sensibly with Russia. On the other hand McCain like Bush is a warmongering shill for the military industrial complex.

How to detect a secret GOP agenda ? Look for an unclear policy.
Ask your local warmonger how he defines victory in the war on terror. Ask why when Iraq was very violent we couldn't leave, and now that it's less violent, we can't leave. Ask him how he defines victory in Iraq or in Afghanistan.
