Sit back and watch the Obamaster at work.
One of the main reasons that Obama was able to beat Hilary was that he was able to get under Bill's skin and the infamous temper came out in too many inappropriate ways -- which was predictable given even a cursory knowledge of his temperment. How did Barack get to him? He dissed his role as The Democrat in our time. The king is dead, long live the king sort of stuff. Alpha male sort of stuff.
Fast forward to John McCain...
John McCain. Another male with a well-known infamous temper who has not been dealing with recent setbacks well. After listening to the pundits yesterday on Barack's side responding to McCain's ad and comments re Barack's not supporting the troops etc., there was a word that started coming up all over the place: DISHONORABLE. An honorable man, running a dishonorable campaign and so on. I could be wrong, but if I had to pick the one word to describe McCain that would infuriate him more than any other, it would be "dishonorable".
(What happens to his campaign when he loses it totally in public and has a melt down, then expects the press to gloss over it -- in this day and age of U-Tube. )
Obama is correct, of course, McCain has been running a very dishonorable campaign and reminding him of such may provoke him into behaving in a personally dishonorable manner. It's almost as if Barack's team has been setting him up for this. Almost every time they talk about him, the lead in statement has something to do with McCain deserving our thanks for his honorable service to our country, or some such sentiment (followed by the BUT of course). It's almost as if they knew that sooner or later McCain's people would go negative and they would be ready. It's all about the words.
Just saying....
