U.S. News, via Arianna, brings us the latest Republican raison d'etre for political disaster, seemingly dated only as far back as Harriet Miers. Be we in the reality-based community know the trouble started WAY before that. November 2000 comes to mind. The following less-than-insightful and woefully tardy analysis by Ms. Borger should give a hint of things to come - Bush, not Republicans, played fast and loose with the U.S. Constitution.
Republicans are truly miffed at a White House that they consider too secretive, too arrogant, and too interested in extending its own power.
