I have to admit, I watched Hillary's speech on Fox News. More accurately, I switched to Fox mid-speech because I thought it was such a great, well-delivered, full-throated endorsement of Barack Obama that Fox couldn't possibly come up with any way to spin it negatively.
I was wrong.
As soon as the speech ends, we go to our circle of knuckleheads to talk about it. After a bit of stammering, the first discussion point brought up is that Hillary forgot to say 'and you should too!' after she said 'and that's why Barack Obama is my candidate for President!
That's right, she forgot to say one line in the speech (or, equally likely, was drowned by the thunderous applause she got when she said the previous line), and Fox immediately jumped on it with "I'm not saying Hillary still secretly hates Barack Obama and is giving subtle signals to her supporters that she still hates Obama, BUT..."
Disgusting.
But they weren't content to stop there. The second object of discussion was that Hillary only explained how Obama shares her views, but she DIDN'T praise Obama's character, and reassure voters that he ISN'T unfit to be Commander-in-Chief! Le gasp! Clearly this was a hidden signal to Hillary Clinton's supporters that Hillary is saying that Obama is unfit to lead.
Followed by this, an immediate jab that Hillary didn't praise Obama's character. To Fox, I guess Hillary didn't do enough to assure voters that they wanted to have a beer with Obama, as the ridiculous media narrative puts it.
One by one, their 'analysts' gave their take, ALL of them with shit-eating grins on their faces as they loudly proclaimed that Hillary only did the bare minimum the Democrats forced her to do, and that she was actually letting her supporters know that she still doesn't really support Barack Obama.
I am absolutely flabbergasted, here. Every time I lower the bar for Fox, they manage to shimmy their way underneath is somehow.
So, how was the reaction from 'everyone except Fox News', everyone?
