While the title has very little to do with my thoughts I liked that line last night.
I thought it demonstrated some needed levity, showed Hillary isnt really out of touch, and it brought a giggle to me.
So my diary is just some of my thoughts so far on the convention. I'm a horrible writer.
I thought that Mark Warner drew the worst time slot possible. Wonder if he can get an encore so we can hear him say something.
Michelle blew me away, best moment so far. I liked getting to know more about her, her brother was interesting, amazing what a strong family can accomplish.
Tonight we'll hear Bill speak, im expecting him to exceed expectations, I predict in advance that he'll knock it out.
Id like to hear some specificity on the economy. It occurs to me that McCain has managed to tie the economy to energy and gas prices, and he has a simple (albeit stupid) one liner that he calls a solution: drill drill drill. Id like our party to counter with some intelligence. Im an electric car freak, if Obama drove a hybrid onstage I think he'd make a statement. One comment about a Chevy Volt could get him a gazilion votes (maybe not a gazillion but it wouldnt hurt). IMO electric cars are the immediate answer to the energy problem, even if its just a bridge.
Back to the convention:
Ive decided to ignore the media attempts to present a divided convention, its gotten ridiculous, and they are obviously stretching it.
Kudos to Hillary, great speech, I hope she campaigns with Barack some more.
To the people at the Bigtent: please post some more pictures, im enjoying seeing them.
Has anyone seen Al Gore?
