- All those people saying the new guy in town can't deliver the goods are the same people who said it of Bill Clinton. And we know how wrong they were then. (cite balanced budget, envirnonmental protection, benifits to women, families, other points)
- Anyone who doubts that the Democratics will be able to move important legislation through Congress to improve the disasterous economy left to us by the Republicans, or ending the war in Iraq with caution and intelligence, or gathering the most innovative minds together to develop alternative energy sources on a grand scale, isn't paying attention to this fact: Democrats WILL BE IN THE MAJORITY beginning next January.
- When Barack Obama said during the primaries that if he were President and there were actionable intelligence, he would go after our enemies in Pakistan with or without Pakistan's approval, he was resoundly criticized by George Bush, Dick Cheney and John McCain. Yet, not a month later the White House did exactly what they'd chided Barack for. (embellish, give details)
- When Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and every other Democrat, including myself, began to call for a withdrawal of our troops from Iraq we were resoundly criticized as defeatists - and worse - by the Bush Administration and John McCain. Well, guess what. The Iraqi government and Secretary Rice and the White House are right now working on the details of troop withdrawal from Iraq.
- When Barack Obama declared that diplomacy should be considered in dealing with Iran, Dick Cheney, Condeleeza Rice, George Bush and John McCain tried to paint Senator Obama as something akin to a Nazi sympathizer. Well, guess what. Not three months ago the White House sent State Department envoies to sit down and talk with Iran. Maybe it will prove fruitious, maybe not. But at least an effort is being made.
Does that mean that those who criticized Barack, but are now doing the very thing he called for, are akin to Nazi sympathizers? I don't think so.
- Time and time again, Barack Obama's judgment has been slammed by the White House, George Bush and Dick Cheney and John McCain. And time and time again, the administration has ended up following Barack Obama's lead.
- America, if you've liked the last 8 years, you're gonna love the next 4 if John McCain is elected in November.
- If you agree with John McCain and his chief economic advisor, Phil Gramm, that the American economy is fundamentally strong and that we are just a nation of whiners, then cast your vote for McCain.
- If you agree that women don't deserve equal pay for equal work, and that, as John has said, 'Women just need more training and education", then McCain's your guy.
- If you agree with the premise that should your daughter or sister or wife be impregnated by a psychopathic rapist, even if that rapist is a member of her immediate family - the decision to end that pregnancy is not hers to make, John McCain's your guy.
- My friends, we LITERALLY cannot afford another Bush-McCain administration. The stakes in this election are too high, the problems they have left us are too great. A Republican controlled Congress and a Republican administration have damaged our country in a myriad of ways.
It just doesn't make sense to think another Republican administration can fix what they are responsible for breaking in the first place.
