Clearly John McCain's campaign has jumped the shark with its useage of his POW experience. He has refered to it in several recent high-profile interviews and an ad being run by the South Carolina GOP makes it the centerpiece of its defense against questions about how many houses he owns.

Clearly John McCain's campaign has jumped the shark with its useage of his POW experience. He has refered to it in several recent high-profile interviews and an ad being run by the South Carolina GOP makes it the centerpiece of its defense against questions about how many houses he owns.
It time to give him a few POWs of his own by reminding voters of the truth about McCain:
Being a POW does not make him qualified to solve America's energy problems.
Being a POW does not make him qualified to fix America's crumbling infrastructure.
Being a POW does not make him qualified to restore America's prestige and respect in the world.
Being a POW does not make him qualified to lead the war or terror.
Being a POW does not make him qualified to create new jobs paying decent salaries to hard-working Americans.
Being a POW does not make him qualified to expand access to affordable health care for all Americans.
Being a POW does not make him qualified to make the hard choices that will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reverse the effects of global warming.
Being a POW does not make him qualified ensure that the government effectively deploys the resources needed to help Americans recover from disasters, natural or otherwise.
Being a POW does not make him qualified to develop a tax policy that is equitable and does not favor wealth over work.
Being a POW does not make him qualified improve our competitiveness in global markets by making sure our education system produces the engineers, scientists and other highly skilled pprofessionals we need.
We need to remind Americans that even though he no longer resides in the Hanoi Hilton, John McCain is still a prisoner of:
Old thinking
Old money
The old boy's network
Big Oil
Corporate lobbyists and fat cats
and Rovian political advisers whose motto is slime first and evade the issues later.
