I'm sure Governor Sarah Palin will get a eco-friendly makeover for the national republican campaign, but back in Alaska she was a global warming skeptic:
During [the Fall 2005] political campaign, Gov. Sarah Palin said she remained unconvinced about how much human emissions contribute to current global warming trends.

And don't get her started on the severe risk to the economy posed by large, lovable polar bears:
The state of Alaska has sued Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne, seeking to reverse his decision to list polar bears as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. Gov. Sarah Palin and other state officials worry that a listing will cripple offshore oil and gas development in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas in Alaska's northern waters, which provide prime habitat for the only polar bears under U.S. jurisdiction. Kemp- thorne concluded that sea ice, which is melting, was vital to polar-bear survival.

Wow, even the Bush administration is too protective of the environment as far as Ms. Palin is concerned. Ms. Palin is one extreme VP pick when it comes to environmental policy. So don't get fooled by the upcoming McCain Minneapolis makeover.
