Okay, so McCain's pick of Sarah Palin is going to dominate the news cycle for a bit.
Let's say that his story will be the 2-minute story at the beginning of the news. Then Obama's speech will grab the next five.
But then...
As the next couple of days roll by, and the MSM gets over the fact that, yes - it's true - McCain didn't accidentally pick a transvestite, the shit will hit the fan. The "who really is Palin?" factor is going to kick in.
It's obvious it was a panic pick after last night's speech. (C'mon! We all knew it was Pawlenti! Poor guy got tossed after last night.)
Before governor, she was the mayor of a town of 9,000.
She's been governor for less than two years.
She's hot! (Well, enough that Vogue will do a layout of her - which isn't saying much for Vogue.)
She's got no foreign policy experience.
She was runner-up in Ms. Alaska beauty contest.
She's got her own "Trooper-gate".
Younger than Obama.
The list goes on, and on, and on.
I know you've already seen it.
McGrumpy has one foot in the grave, and the other on a banana peel - and this is the "heart beat away from the presidency" pick?
But, the MSM is going to start to jump on this. Give them a day or two. But I somehow believe that the MSM isn't going to let this one roll by. It's too damn juicy!
I'm just wondering how many Republicans are smacking themselves upside their heads in embarrassment and disgust. (Especially Republican insiders.)
