The September 1st protest will start at 11:00AM with a rally in front of the Minnesota State Capitol building. The march will go past the Excel Center, site of the convention, and return to the Capitol mall.
The protest is organized by the Coalition to March on the RNC and Stop the War, is expected to draw thousands of Minnesotans and others from the upper Midwest and from across the U.S. The protest is being organized under the calls of: U.S. Out of Iraq Now! · Money for human needs, not for war · Say no to the Republican Agenda · Demand peace, justice and equality.
The city of St. Paul has issued a formal permit for the September 1st anti-war protest set to mark the opening day of the Republican National Convention.

EVENT: PARTY FOR CHANGE!
Join us at the Party for Change, 5:30 – 9:00 pm, Tuesday, September 2nd, hosted by AM950, The Voice of Minnesota. The Party for Change will be the largest gathering of Progressive Minnesotans and Progressive Talk Show Hosts for a night of music, refreshments and entertainment during the Republican National Convention. Visit with AM950 talk show hosts Stephanie Miller, Voice Diety Jim Ward, Right Wing Tool Chris LaVoie, Ed Schultz and Team Fargo, Thom Hartmann, Bill Press, Jon Elliott, and our very own Mark Heaney!
