OK, the lipstick/pig "controversy" leads me to give some unsolicited advice to the Obama people.
As you've seen from my last posts, you know that I am of the 'smack-them-before-they-smack-you' school of politics. I still hope that Obama will shake of the Palin hit and go on the offensive, but after the "Palin Truth Squad' came out with its pig squeal, I feel compelled to offer this line of attack as a suggestion. How about trying this:
"Since his convention, John McCain has hidden behind his VP candidate. It's kind of confusing, trying to figure out who really is at the top of the other side's ticket."
I think this would do several things:
- Challenge McCain's masculinity,
- Win a media cycle.
- Intensify the 'Is Palin overshadowing McCain?' question.
- Best case, force JM to push Palin back out of the spotlight a bit. Face it folks, she's a huge draw for them and they know it.
What do you Kossacks think?
