The new "wolves" ad from McCain campaign is remarkably similar to the now-historic "wolves" ad from the 2004 Bush campaign - to the extent that I begin suspecting both ads use the same stock footage (or, more accurately, different cuts from the same stock "wolves" video).
This is so shameless, blatant, and unimaginative that I have agree with several bloggers and observers - this election is now largely a test for America. You know... fool me once - shame on you, fool me thrice - ???
OK, see for yourselves.
The new McCain "wolves" ad is below. The wolves are apparently recruited by the Obama campaign "to dig dirt" on Palin.
For comparison, here's the Bush now famous ad from 2004. For the Youtube-impaired, it shows wolves gathering in a dark forest. According to the captions and voiceover, the critters are getting ready to pounce on John Kerry's alleged weakness on national security.
Note that, while the wolf footage is not identically the same, the similarities are clearly beyond coincidence. Similar cuts, similar views, similar editing pattern.
Here's a side-by-side comparison of two image pulls from the videos, to remove any doubt.
And here is a video comparison some kind soul already put on Youtube.
Returning to the "test for America" meme that opens this diary, let me say that usually I have strong objections against students sharing test answers with others. However, considering how this is a case of national emergency, if you have the correct answer to this multiple-choice, it's not only OK to share it with others, you must do it.
