I am left asking the question that is left on most Democrats mind. When will the democratic leadership grow a set of balls and start swinging back. How many elections will we have to lose before someone actually starts fighting. Or, as a party, are we doomed to eternity "fighting the good fight".
Do not get me wrong. Truth matters. I only advocate telling the truth. However, where are all of the democrats? Where is the women's leadership? Where is everyone else?
Do not tell me that this "lipstick" stuff does not matter. The average american citizen is saying this "if Barack Obama cannot fight John McCain back with equal punches how is he going to face our enemies - foreign and domestic?"
That's a hard question not to answer.
I really feel abandoned. This kind of crap cannot go unanswered. I am not advocating giving it more legs by directly addressing it but instead, how about some gumption and fight.
This is not a surprise. Sarah Palin is not a surprise. If she is then everyone in the democratic party leadership who IS surprised should be fired. She is their Plan A. Believe me they have a Plan B.
What Sarah Palin and her conservative cronies represent is the Republican arm who can prove, again to the average American, that Barack Obama has zero leadership abilities.
I must ask where is the leadership???????????
The media eats this stuff up because the media only undertands small simple ideas: lipstick/Sarah Palin/pig/bad. The truth does not matter to the media. They have abdicated their ability to ask this simple question: What is the truth here?
The media's abdication of the ability to sort fact from fiction means that WE HAVE TO TAKE UP THE CAUSE AND FLOOD THE MEDIA WITH FACT.
I am sadly beginning to realize that there is no "Sarah Palin" campaign opposition. The leadership (and by this I mean you Senator Obama)really is inept and simply does not grasp that she is a true threat to the campaign. Is this because she is a woman? I really think part of it is just that - she is a woman so why take this seriously.
How far down do poll numbers have to go before someone lights a firecracker in the Obama campaign and begins to see just how devastating Palin is. This is genius. Rove et al have completely taken the campaign away from John McCain and now brought the fight to a level the Democrats (and I mean you Senator Obama) do not want to go to.
There is so much material to use against this group and yet here we sit, day 8 after her speech to the Republican convention and all we hear is - silence.
Its a sad day when a movie star - Matt Damon - is the ONLY VOICE RAISED IN THE MEDIA QUESTIONING THE NOTION OF "HOCKEY MOM GOES TO WASHINGTON", coming to a White House near you. No John Kerry, No Bill Clinton, No Hillary Clinton, Please God give me Dennis Kuscinich, anyone.
Let me tell you this - the Democratic Convention was good but this race is very very tight and getting tigher by the day.
I am stunned that David Axelrod would take this stuff laying down. It's really unbelievable.
