I guess I've been brainwashed by the Republicans and the media over the years. I always assume that someone white, young, male and a blue collar worker might not agree with me politically and I make a lot of assumptions. Since I am currently one of the hand wringing Obama-mamas I wake up each day with doom and gloom, although I won't let myself become a Chicken Little. So imagine my surprise today.
First let me say that the Time Warner cable guy and I had an appointment sometime between ten and noon. Now here's the first good part of the story, he was on time. But the best part is he comes strolling in and says that he guesses I am a good decision maker after seeing two Obama For President signs in my front yard. So you know I'm a happy camper. Anyway, he and his wife (she's Canadian, he's from Minnesota) are staunch Obama people. He just returned from Minn (during the repub convention). Said he didn't watch it as he didn't want to increase their ratings. Also mentioned that he and his wife would move to Canada if Barak doesn't win.
So all in all, the HDTV cable box was installed, the Tivo works and he asked for one of my lawn signs and I gave it to him. So here you have it, a regular white woman over 60 (me) and a young white guy, the cable guy and wife (them) are in this fight together.
Just a nice story on a Friday.
